Mercedes to make car service records Digital.

Car owners will know of the mess the present system of maintaining their car service records creates.People buying second hand cars too have to go through all the trouble of going through pages and pages of information before they can be satisfied that the vehicle has been maintained well and is in good condition.Mercedes plan to make this a lot more easier by going digital.

Mercedes is introducing a new digital record system to replace service books. The system means that car owners won't have to remember to take their service books in with the car when it is being serviced, and there will be no problems with missing stamps when they come to sell the car.

However, owners will have the option of receiving an official print-out of the vehicle's service history, covering when and where it has been maintained.

Considering the way computers have taken over the world literally its only suprising that this transition has happened so late, anyways better late than never at all.
