Tata adds safety features as standard to its entire Indica turbo line-up

So far car manufacturers in India especially in the lower segments have been skimping safety features and if at all they do provide safety features like airbags and ABS ,it is treated as a luxury item which is available only on their top of the line products, but thankfully tata motors has just broken this tradition and now in the latest Indica turbo diesel models all have ABS and airbags as a standard feature,a commendable initiative indeed by Tata.

Tata have added an intercooler for the Turbo-charged engine and the engine specs read as 68PS @ 4500 rpm and max torque is 13kgm @ 2500 rpm.The lower variant of the Indica turbo is available with an engine that produces 62PS @ 4500 rpm and max torque is 12.5kgm @ 2500 rpm.

The timing of the launch is perfect indeed but what is surprising that the safety features are still not available on the higher priced sedan the indigo hopefully that is taken care of soon. Also the petrol Indica[xeta] too does not have these options again something for tata to take care of.

However I thank Tata for atleast showing the way forward to all other manufacturers in India.
