Former Toyota boss now joins VW.

Its official now former Toyota India deputy MD Mr. K.K. Swamy is now onboard the VW family where he has also been given a promotion from his present position.

Mr.K.K.Swamy is now Managing Director and vice-president of Volkswagen India. He shall report directly to the president of VW India Jorg Muller.

As promised earlier Mr.K.K. Swamy would be on vacation for a while and shall join VW india only on July 21.

Mr.K.K. Swamy was not only a key man at Toyota india but also in the company he was working at earlier[The Kirloskar group]

Like I said before Toyota's loss could very well be VW's gain.

As he was the top man in Toyota India then he could be blamed for the poor condition of Toyota here. VW must think twice before keeping that person who has not given any dynamic growth to a company from last so many years and now has left that company.

I believe its the opposite, the way toyota functions did not give much margin for him to take the dynamic growth path.

You are right. It is just that Toyota's priority was not India though Swamy tried very hard to give it a dynamic growth. As an insider I know he made enormous contribution. He was the force behind successes they are enjoying today. Japs are so ungreatful and racist. They never allow non Japanese to be the top man, Frustrated he left just the way Toyota Top man in US James Press left. Name a Jap company where top man is non Jap

All is not so good in Toyota as we believe. There are so many people who are leaving Toyota. Just ask any recruiter all their CVs are in the market. So much for their flaunted Toyota way and Mutual trust
