Nissan's mass market car.

I have always been critical of the Renault Logan strategy, building a cheap looking then overpricing it wasn't a particularly bright idea.A cheaper intermediate variant was launched later and it proved that Renault-Mahindra was wrong with their initial strategy. But even now sales aren't what the Renault-Mahindra officials where talking of initially and the logan is now seeing discounts of close to Rs.40,000 along with the Ad-blitz by Renault-Mahindra.

Have a feeling that the Logan is one of the reasons why Mahindra kept out of the Renault $3000 car project after initially being upbeat about that project too.

This does not mean that the Logan is not a bright idea, its just that for India Renault got their strategy wrong.

Nissan for their mass market car are planning an expensive looking but cheap in terms of price car.So far the designers at Nissan have not been successful as these designs are not within the expected price tag of the car but they aim to strike gold soon.Somehow I have a feeling this car would work better in markets like India.
