Festival season incentives/discounts by Car Manufacturers

Diwali and Dushera are fast approaching and this is the time it rains discounts/incentives to lure car buyers in India so that sales targets are met.

Following are some of the offers expected[some have already begun]:

General Motors Spark is coming up with a discount of Rs 35,000.The discount on the Spark has now been made as Rs. 53,000[this has to be a record of sorts]Expect great deals on the tavera as well as the aveo[especially the sedan].All in all the entire Gm range may just be available at attractive rates.

The mid-segment Logan from Mahindra-Renault is offering a rebate of Rs 40,000. The scorpio too may just get a push as well

Fiat Palio Stile hatchback is off by a handsome Rs 38,000.

For the die-hard Maruti-Suzuki customer, its latest hatch, the Zen Estilo, comes with a Rs 45,000 rebate with dealers pitching in with further discounts on interest rates. Its other models too pack in quite a punch: the WagonR carries a discount of Rs 40,000 and the Alto Rs 34,000 while the old war horse Maruti 800 is off by Rs 25,000. Maruti’s mid-size sedan Esteem offers an impressive discount of Rs 56,000 for the Dushera-Diwali season.The Maruti Alto too is expected to get an attractive discount package.Its marketing schemes like the Wheels of India for state government employees, First Class Offer for railway employees, Power Deal for NTPC staff, Steel Wheel for SAIL, Hum Sath-Sath Hai for panchayat functionaries and rural consumers and Talker, an employee referral scheme, offer higher net benefits to customers will continue through the festive season.

Tata Motors, India’s largest automobile company, plans to offer more cash discounts for the coming season to counter a four-month sales slump. It is offering Rs 61,000 off on its Indigo Marina, Rs 45,000 on Indica Xeta petrol and Rs 40,000 off on the Indigo diesel range.

Ford India has recently launched a limited edition of its flagship model for the festive season which carries additional features like the 1.6 litre duratec engine delivering 101 bhp power, outside rear view mirror, stylish alloy wheels and an MP3 player with speakers and roof antenna at an additional price of Rs 28,000. Its other models are also coming under special discount offers.

Hyundai Motor India is offering a comprehensive discount bouquet on its complete range of cars except for the newly launched diesel model of Getz Prime. Popular compact car Santro comes at Rs 25000 off while the Accent sedan carries a special price of Rs 4.99 lakh for a select few days. The discount on the Satro now goes upto Rs.40,000.The company is doling out a Rs 10,000 exchange bonus scheme on its Verna and Getz Prime models as well a discounted financing scheme for the Getz prime.

State Bank of India, will reduce interest rates across the board by 50 basis points till November. ICICI Bank has introduced floating interest rate options for cars and commercial vehicles and will introduce some interest discounting for the two wheeler sector.

The Japanese giants Toyota and Honda are offering similar schemes wherein a lucky customer could end up with a vacation package to Japan.Toyota is also offering discounts on the innova and the corolla.
