Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy has switched over to a new set of sports utility vehicles (SUVs), Scorpio, in place of Tata Safari he has been using for the past three years.
He arrived in the Secretariat on Monday in a convoy of five dazzling black Scorpios. The fleet of Tata Safaris has been withdrawn for overhauling and it will be kept with the security establishment as a stand-by.
The five Scorpios have been purchased as part of a broader plan to phase out older cars for the Chief Minister and Ministers.
Some Ministers are already using Scorpio, which, they feel is sleek and fast.Source:
