Hyundai Getz to get Santro engine

Hyundai also has a 1.1 litre version of its Getz that just went on sale in the UK, while here in India it is a 1.3 litre Getz.

The 1.1 is the same engine that goes into the Santro Xing. So Hyundai will be using the same engine option in India to avail the excise benefit.

GM, which was supposed to introduce its new version of the Aveo this week, has now apparently pushed back the launch date and NDTV has learnt:

GM is now trying to look eastwards to its Korea operations where it has a version of the Aveo hatchback that falls within the 1.2 litre category
and GM is apparently going to source that engine from Korea soon and bring it to India.
