Commercial launch of Tata's one lakh car in June 2008

Though the car would be unveiled at the new delhi auto show in Jan 2008,the one lakh car won't be up for sale until june 2008.

Tata motors suppliers have been informed of this date as the posssible one and told to be prepared for 175,000 units per annum initially.

The car would come with an automatic transmission option[CVT] though this variant would not be the cheapest one and would be priced with a slight premium compared to the manual transmission model.
