BMW becomes worlds largest Premium car-manufacturer

The success of the mini has ensured that BMW becomes the world's largest car manufacturer,Its has just sold more cars than mercedes and audi.An analyst comments that brands like lexus have only ensured the success of the german luxury brands by making people aware of the premium segment of cars.

However just a matter of time before brands like Lexus foray into the small car area[small does not necessarily mean cheap here],mercedes on the other hand really need to get their act together in this department.

The Bmw Mini would come to India in 2009 with a price tag of approximately Rs. 20 lakhs.How well Indians accept it we will have to see.
