When the renault ceo came to India for the logan he was the one who used the term frugal engineering but he himself seems to not know what the meaning of the word is.He gave the logan to India alright but has not actually be able to do any useful cost cutting for the end user.The masters at this are none other than Maruti Suzuki India Ltd and they surely can teach everyone a thing or two about cost cutting/frugal engineering.
Just look at the recently launched SX4 Sedan.Isnt it a big joke that maruti is able to price the sx4 in India along with the renault logan,and for not much more provide abs+ebd as well as airbags,climate control,integrated audio system with the steering wheel and to top it all provide 16 inch alloy's wow.
